Two police officers detained in jhapa

Bhadrapur, Nov. 28: Two police officers working in Jhapa district have been suspended and detained for forwarding action against them.

Police Inspector Chhabiman Bhattarai and Assistant Sub Inspector Kalicharan Panjiyar were suspended and detained, said DSP Mohan Sharma.

Inspector Bhattarai had made a fake document of a stolen motorcycle and sold at Rs. 40,000, while he was chief at the Area Police Office, Anarmani, in the district. He will be filed case against on cheating, said DSP Sharma.

ASI Panjiyar had married for the second time a 15-year old girl of Lohajara VDC in Saptari district.

Panjiyar, who is a father of two daughters and one son, had married the girl two weeks ago, the District Police Office said.

Sanghiya Samajbadi Party formed under Rai

KATHMANDU, NOV 22 - The crusaders of federalism based on single identity on Monday announced the formation of a new party under the leadership of former CPN-UML Vice Chairman Ashok Rai. The new party Sanghiya Samajbadi Party was announced at a programme organised at a function organised at New Baneshwor in the Capital. Most of the leaders and cadres of the new party are from the UML and some are also from the Nepali Congress.
