Kathmandu, Nov. 1:
President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has expressed wishes that consensus be forged
immediately among political parties to end the existing political stalemate of
the country. President Yadav expressed
his wishes during the meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai at the
presidential palace at Sheetal Niwas this morning.
The President also urged
the Prime Minister to bring the budget on consensus.President Dr. Yadav said
that consensus should be forged at the earliest and urged to bring the budget
on consensus, said the Prime Minister quoting the President. On the occasion, Prime
Minister Dr. Bhattarai informed President Dr. Yadav about the meeting held
among the major political parties for the past few days and the meeting of the
major political parties to be held today to find a political outlet.
He also familiarized the
President that the major political parties have expedited discussions on
whether to go for election or searching for other alternatives to find out
political solution at the earliest.
Prime Minister Bhattarai
said he informed the President that initiatives for forging consensus are
underway to bring the budget and discussion was held with the president in a
cordial environment.
The meeting was held
between the President and the Prime Minister today in the context that no
solution was found out even if initiatives for forging consensus among
political parties to find out a political solution are underway. President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav is going to call top leaders of the four major political parties for meeting on Friday to find out solution of the existing political crisis of the country through consensus, it is learnt.
