Kathmandu, Nov.21: The Supreme Court has on
Wednesday issued a show cause notice in the name of the Office of President in
response to a writ petition filed relating to the four different ordinances
recommended by the government to the
President three months back.
A
single bench of Justice Sushila Karki issued an order to that end, asking the
defendants to appear before the court along with a written reply on the same
within the next fifteen days.
The writ petition registered by advocate Uddab
Chaulagain on Tuesday has named the Office of the President, the Office of the
Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Law and Justice as the
defendants.
The ordinances presented by the government to
the President are Nepal Health Service (fourth amendment) Ordinance- 2069 BS,
the Education Act (eighth amendment) Ordinance-2069 BS, Truth and
Reconciliation Ordinance -2069 BS and some Nepal Acts Amendments Ordinance-2069
BS.
