Six officials promoted to secretary



Kathmandu, March 13: The government has decided to promote Dr Prabhakar Kumar Pathak, Anup Kumar Upadhyaya, Hari Kumar Shrestha, Narayan Prasad Regmi, Madhu Prasad Regmi and Bhola Prasad Shivakoti to secretaries.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers today took this decision, according to Minister for Information and Communications and government spokesman, Dr Minendra Rijal.
The Council of Ministers has decided to table in the Parliament bills replacing the Ordinance related to Extradition, the Ordinance on Elimination of Organised Crime, the Ordinance on Civil Service (Third Amendment) and the Ordinance on Nepal Health Service.

Government spokesman Rijal said that although a meeting of the Council of Ministers 15 days back had decided to make public the details of the property of ministers in 15 days, it would be done two to three days from today.
"The process of submitting the details of the property of ministers to the Office of the Council of Ministers is almost complete. The property details of all the ministers would be released together through the website in two or three days," he said.
 The meeting also passed the Common Minimum Programme of the government with revisions. The government plans to make it public by Monday

Sanghiya Samajbadi Party formed under Rai

KATHMANDU, NOV 22 - The crusaders of federalism based on single identity on Monday announced the formation of a new party under the leadership of former CPN-UML Vice Chairman Ashok Rai. The new party Sanghiya Samajbadi Party was announced at a programme organised at a function organised at New Baneshwor in the Capital. Most of the leaders and cadres of the new party are from the UML and some are also from the Nepali Congress. The 98-member central ad hoc working committee includes eight vice chairmen, one general secretary, three deputy general secretaries and five secretaries.
