Bhim Bahadur Tamang no more

Nepali Congress leader Bhim Bahadur Tamang passed away due to heart attack at Thapathali based Norvic Hospital in the Capital on Saturday morning. He was 78.
He was one of the honest political leaders of Nepal and was the central member of the party.
NC central leader Mahesh Acharya confirmed Tamang's demise at the premises of Norvic Hospital this morning. Tamang was rushed to the hospital soon after he complained of breathing while doing morning walk today.
Former Law Minister Tamang had also competed for the president post during the NC's general convention along with Sushil Koirala and Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Following, Tamang's demise, NC President Sushil Koirala, Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel, among other leaders, cadres, and relatives have reached hospital.
He was survived by one son and daughter.
Tamang was living at the house of Law expert and NC former Lawmaker Radhe Shyam Adhikari since 2054 BS. He used to live a simple life with Gandhi's ideology. Tamang was the permanent resident of Dolakha district.
Meanwhile, Tamang's dead body has been kept at party headquarters in Sanepa for the condolence ceremony.

Party to half-mast flag

The emergency meeting of the central committee of the party held at the NC party headquarters condemned Tamang' death and decided to half-mast the party flag for three days and to close the office.
During the time, the party will not organise any programmes and to hold condolence ceremony in 75 districts on the 13th day.

Sanghiya Samajbadi Party formed under Rai

KATHMANDU, NOV 22 - The crusaders of federalism based on single identity on Monday announced the formation of a new party under the leadership of former CPN-UML Vice Chairman Ashok Rai. The new party Sanghiya Samajbadi Party was announced at a programme organised at a function organised at New Baneshwor in the Capital. Most of the leaders and cadres of the new party are from the UML and some are also from the Nepali Congress.
