KATHMANDU: Nepal has been ranked as one of the best countries in the world to visit in 2017, according to Lonely Planet’s annual Best in Travel list. Sanghiya Samajbadi Party formed under Rai

KATHMANDU, NOV 22 - The crusaders of federalism based on single identity on Monday announced the formation of a new party under the leadership of former CPN-UML Vice Chairman Ashok Rai. The new party Sanghiya Samajbadi Party was announced at a programme organised at a function organised at New Baneshwor in the Capital. Most of the leaders and cadres of the new party are from the UML and some are also from the Nepali Congress. The 98-member central ad hoc working committee includes eight vice chairmen, one general secretary, three deputy general secretaries and five secretaries. Bijaya Subba, Durga Mani Dewan, Prem Krishna Pathak, Bir Bahadur Lama, Rakanm Chemjong, Hemraj Rai, Mohammad Rijwan Ansari and Gopal Thakur have been appointed as the vice chairmen for the party whereas Rajendra Shrestha is the general secretary. एमसीसी भर्सेस बीआरआई : दुई महाशक्ति मुलुकको ‘ब्याटलग्राउन्ड’ बन्दै नेपाल

काठमाडौं सतहमा देखिएका छन्–चीनको बेल्ट एण्ड रोड इनिसियटिभ्स (बीआरआई) र अमेरिकाको मिलेनियम च्यालेन्ज कर्पोरेशन (एमसिसी)। विश्वका सर्वशक्तिशाली मुलुकहरु चीन र अमेरिकाका यी परियोजनामा नेपालले ५ वर्षअघि करिब–करिब सँगसँगैजसो हस्ताक्षर गरेको थियो। २०१७ को मे महिनामा बीआरआईमा हस्ताक्षर गरेकोमा त्यसको ५ महिनापछि अक्टोबर महिनामा एमसीसीमा नेपालले हस्ताक्षर गरेको थियो। यी दुवै परियोजनाको मुख्य उद्देश्य नेपालको विकासका लागि विभिन्न पूर्वाधार क्षेत्रमा लगानी गर्नु रहेको बताइएको छ। सतहमा नेपालको विकासमा लगानी दुई परियोजनाको उद्देश्य रहेको बताइए पनि दुई शक्तिशाली मुलुकबीचको ‘टकराव’ अन्तर्य हो। चीन अमेरिकी एमसिसी नेपालबाट फिर्ता जाओस् र आफ्नो बीआरआईलाई नेपालले अगाडि बढाओस् भन्ने चाहन्छ भने अमेरिका एमसिसी नेपालको संसदबाट पास गराएर आफू विश्वमा महाशक्ति मुलुक नै रहेको सन्देश दिन चाहन्छ। अर्थात् नेपाल दुवै महाशक्ति मुलुकको रणनीतिक ‘ब्याटलग्राउण्ड’ बनिरहेको छ। यसअघि श्रीलंकाबाट अस्वीकृत भइसकेको एमसिसी नेपालबाट समेत फिर्ता जाँदा विश्वमा नकारात्मक सन्देश जानेतर्फ अमेरिका सचेत रहेको देखिन्छ। त्यसैले अनु...
