Kathmandu : The 19-party Alliance led by
the UCPN (Maoist) has formed an 11-member taskforce to announce protest
programmes, after discussion with the ruling parties—Nepali Congress and CPN
(UML) ended inconclusive.
Leaders of the UCPN (Maoist) had walked out from the
three-party meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at
Baluwatar on Saturday
Today's meeting of the Alliance held at
the Parliamentary Party Office of the UCPN (Maoist) formed the taskforce
comprising Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Hridayesh Tripathi, Jitendra Narayan Dev,
Prem Bahadur Singh, Gopal Dahit, Laxman Lal Karna, Dr Bijay Sainju, Rukmini
Tharu, Rani Sharma Tiwari, Ram Kumar Rai and Rajendra Shrestha.
The taskforce would propose the protest
programmes on Monday and the meeting of the Alliance scheduled for Monday
afternoon would make the protest programmes public, said Chairman of Samajbadi
Janata Party Prem Bahadur Singh.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to
meet Chairman of Constituent Assembly (CA), Subas Nembang, today itself and
familiarize Nembang about the discussions held in the meeting as well as to
urge Nembang to send the report of the disputed issues of the constitution
writing back to the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee
(CPDCC), added Chairman Singh.
At the meeting, the UCPN (Maoist) shared about the talks held with NC and CPN
(UML) on Saturday and emphasized that there was no alternative to go for
agitation. However, an agreement was reached at the Alliance to take
discussions and protest ahead simultaneously.
